Neighborhood credit (udhaar) is the foundational financial backbone of India's local retail, powering over $150 Billion in annual grocery, medical, and daily commerce. Today, PayKal is proud to launch its initial on-ground community testing pilot across two distinct markets: the commercial metropolis of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and the historic town of Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district, Bihar.
During this pilot phase, participating dukandaars receive localized QR stands, 3-second counter recording workflows, and real-time dual sync on Android devices. Customer balances update instantly with polite WhatsApp receipts, eliminating end-of-month shouting matches and lost diary slips forever.
